The Auto Club Group is seeking a skilled Application Associate to join our remote team in the United States. You will contribute to design, development, testing, and documentation of moderately complex distributed or web-based information systems, supporting project tasks and coding efforts.
The role requires college coursework in CS or IS, experience with COBOL II/J2EE, HTML, and several database platforms. Remote work is available with standard 8–5 hours, Monday to Friday support.

Position Schedule / Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Serves as a team member in designing, developing, implementing, and/or supporting moderately complex distributed or web-based information systems. Supports project tasks and codes and test programs and develops system documentation (e.g.; structure charts, screen designs, data flow diagrams, file layouts, report layouts, and job run descriptions) in accordance with IS standards.
Supports the design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of moderately complex web-based and distributed applications, while contributing to project deliverables, coding, system testing, and technical documentation in accordance with established IT standards.
Required Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications): College coursework in Computer Science or Information Systems
Experience: Distributed, and/or web-based system development
Programming languages (e.g., COBOL II, J2E)
Database management systems (e.g., IMS DB, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Access)
Web development (HTML)
PC fundamental tools (MS Office Knowledge and Skills: Structured systems analysis, design, programming and testing Mainframe and/or distributed computing fundamentals and concepts Systems operation practices Analyze business problems Demonstrating strong analytical and investigative ability Communicate effectively in a business setting Evaluate information systems and understand the inter-dependencies between components Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a test, development or production environment Write procedures and technical materials Perform a variety of concurrent activities effectively
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Human-Centered Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may also be considered. Coursework, internship, academic project, volunteer, or professional experience related to user interface design, user experience design, or digital product design. Portfolio or work samples demonstrating skills such as wireframing, prototyping, visual design, user research, or designing web or mobile experiences. Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar tools. Basic understanding of user-centered design, usability, responsive design, information architecture, accessibility, or design systems. Ability to gather feedback and translate user or business needs into clear design concepts. Ability to communicate design ideas and collaborate with business partners, developers, product teams, and other stakeholders. Familiarity with Agile, iterative design, or software and product development methodologies.
This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.

Application Associate will earn a competitive annual salary of $57,000 - $62,000 with annual bonus potential, based on performance.
