Genesis10 is seeking an Application Architect for a client in the financial sector. This role is contract-based and demands skills in SQL, Python, and development on platforms such as Hadoop and Apache Spark. Candidates are expected to operate across various environments and work collaboratively with teams. The ideal applicant will have a strong grasp of Agile methodologies and an ability to integrate seamlessly into the current infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Bit Bucket and Jira processes.

Responsibilities

• Optimize existing processes and ETL jobs.
• Develop with Python and PySpark in client and cluster modes.
• Liaise with stakeholders for requirements gathering.

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Kennesaw, GA and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Requirements:

• Dbaas SQL infrastructure and subject matter expertise to optimize existing process/ETL jobs
• Working knowledge of Linux commands and bash shell scripts
• Familiar with Apache Spark, Hive, and Impala
• Hive, HQL , and Impala query expertise
• Hadoop, Python and PySpark development skills, including client and cluster mode execution models
• Knowledge of Autosys, how to create and update jobs, triage failures
• Familiar with Bit Bucket development processes, check-in, check-out, and integration with Jira
• Familiar with HDFS architecture and HDFS command set
• Familiar with Safe/Agile development methodologies
• Familiar with SharePoint technical knowledge to liaison with stakeholders to gather requirements, provides technical solutions and feedback

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24
