- Design, develop, deploy, and provide post-implementation technical support for the Maestro Care Electronic Health Record across service access and revenue cycle workflows
- Plan, perform, manage, and support Maestro Care users within the Duke Health environment
- Support Maestro Care Health Information Management modules, including Release of Information/Legal Medical Record, Document Templates, Identity, Chart Correction, Deficiency Tracking, Chart Tracking, and Break the Glass
- Work with Epic and other Maestro Care application teams on deployment tasks, revenue cycle and LMR workflows, application build, testing, and support
- Advise and assist with educational issues; cross-train team members, trainers/SMEs, and the DHTS Service Desk
- Participate in a 24/7 production on-call rotation to triage and assist with support requests
- Partner with operational and clinical staff to improve Maestro Care knowledge and fluency
- Coordinate virtual and on-site assistance supporting clinic growth and expansion
- Facilitate Epic support during implementation phases and provide knowledge transfer
- Liaise between Maestro Care and Super User/End User resources across DPC, DHIP, and Community Connect customers
- Participate in design sessions and review Maestro Care EHR implementation specifications
- Specify bug fixes, new features, and enhancements to meet Duke Health patient-care needs
- Level 1: Complete project deliverables, application support, troubleshooting, build tasks, documentation, training support, workflow analysis, and process-improvement recommendations
- Level 2: Manage application build, testing, deployments, release updates, report specifications, production support, and deployment issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related clinical or technical field, or four years of equivalent technical experience required
- Maintenance of North Carolina licensure or certification in a related clinical discipline, if applicable, is required for all levels
- Epic proficiency in an area of application support of a technical or support nature required within the timeline defined by Maestro Care policies and procedures
- Level 1: Minimum of one year of related experience required
- Level 2: Minimum of three years of related experience required
- Level 3: Minimum of five years of related experience required
- Ability to obtain initial or additional Epic certification and proficiency through Epic classroom, virtual Epic classes, or remote self-directed learning, including associated projects and exams
- Ability to interpret and analyze systems, data, and information
- Ability to implement applications, tools, processes, and structures supporting end users' data management
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues through review and testing and elevate to Epic appropriately
- Ability to maintain security process adherence
- Ability to execute application-specific test plans and document failures
- Ability to analyze workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues associated with Epic software
- Level 2: Ability to independently build, test, and debug Epic applications 75–85% of the time
- Level 2: Ability to write and execute test plans, develop report specifications, and support software releases and interface enhancements
