Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of Cardiology and Radiology IS experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of IS implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.
  • Working knowledge of Cardiology/Radiology system applications (Cerner RIS, GE MUSE, PACS).
  • Strong systems analysis and programming understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications.
  • Supports the implementation of applications and prepares documentation.
  • Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.
  • Performs QA on application functionality.
  • Researches and resolves implementation-related tickets from Customer Support Center.
  • Adheres to UHS project management standards.
  • Ensures adherence to work plans and reports deviations to management.
  • Assists with training users in operating procedures for applications.
  • Coordinates project team member activities to achieve objectives.
  • Monitors project plans with a project manager and tracks status, issues and progress.
  • Resolves Customer Support Center tickets including major upgrades.
  • Follows UHS Service Level and Change Management policies.
  • Provides on-call support as scheduled.
  • Maintains regular communications with user community.
  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.
  • Submits status reports to supervisor as required.
  • Keeps management informed of activities, needs, problems.

The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Application Analyst II-Radiology.


The Application Analyst II – Radiology supports the implementation of UHS Radiology Information Systems and Radiology Related applications in a Multi-Entity, 26 plus Acute Care Hospital Environment. Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center. Designs new or determines modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides technical support to UHS entities as needed. Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion. Shares experience and expertise with other members of team and is viewed as employee with significant technical expertise.


Key Responsibilities include


  • Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications.

  • Supports the implementations of applications and prepares the appropriate documentation.

  • Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.

  • Performs Q/A on application functionality.

  • Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets.

  • Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.

  • Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.

  • Assists with the training of users in operating procedures for application.

  • Coordinates project team member activities to achieve common objectives.

  • Working in conjunction with a project manager, monitors project plans. Tracks project status, issues and progress.

  • Researches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets including major application upgrades.

  • Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies.

  • Provides on-call support as scheduled.

  • Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community.

  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.

  • Prepares and submits status reports to supervisor as required.

  • Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.


Qualifications

Position Requirements


  • Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Three or more years of Cardiology and Radiology Information Systems experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.

  • Working knowledge of Cardiology and Radiology related system application (i.e. Cerner RIS, GE MUSE, and Cardiology/Radiology PACS systems)implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including: consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics.

  • Working knowledge of project management methods.

  • General familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Travel Requirements

5 – 25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
