This description includes the role of Application Administrator focused on Workday Financials and Integrations, including liaison work between internal and external customers to configure, test, advise, and support financial modules and related interfaces to increase ROI.

Responsibilities
  • Configure Workday Financial modules based on client requirements.
  • Meet with Workday partners to build and test solutions.
  • Serve as liaison between business customers and systems areas.
  • Identify risks and determine solutions.
  • Process weekly duties for time-sensitive union employee payroll.
  • Understand and deliver Workday custom reporting solutions to customers via Report Writer.
  • Translate client business rules into functional business requirements using analytical skills.
  • Analyze, configure, test, and implement the functional aspects of Workday projects and enhancements.
  • Lead Workday Financial module review sessions, requirements gathering, development walkthroughs, and user acceptance testing with the client.
  • Deliver functional specifications/requirements and quality test scenarios and scripts.
  • Coordinate and perform testing of system changes with process owners.
  • Provide solutions based on client requirements with evaluation of advantages and disadvantages and industry best practices.
  • Perform user administration and security management to guard data access and segregation of duties.
  • Write and maintain financial inbound/outbound EIB integrations with custom reports and XSLT.
  • Stay current on Workday financial and integration modules and applicable Cloud Connect interfaces.
  • Collaborate with and lead other consultants and QA teams to develop and test significant new functionality.
  • Excel in configuration, testing, documentation, and maintenance within customized solutions.
  • Provide accurate LOE estimations and target completion dates for the area of expertise.
  • Maintain knowledge of Workday best practices, development lifecycle, data migration, and third-party interfaces.
  • Support business users 24/7.
  • Write and maintain documentation describing program development, logic, system coding, testing, changes, and corrections in accordance with policy and SOX auditing compliance.
  • Prepare Workday workbooks and training resources for customers.
  • Recommend new solutions and upgrades aligned with strategic plans and business requirements.
  • Assist in training documentation for Workday Financial modules.
  • Help prepare training materials and day-to-day operational support for configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Required Background: Bachelor’s degree in information technology with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Required Skills: Workday Integrations/Reporting (EIB, XML, XSL, Studio, RaaS, O4I, SOAP, Advanced, Composite); Workday Financial Management experience in other financial systems; knowledge of security administration; familiarity with financial and payroll integrations; ability to deploy vendor releases; experience with business processes configuration and changes; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; excellent communication and collaboration skills; customer-service mindset; self-motivation and ability to work independently; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; ability to work with diverse groups and learn quickly.
  • Preferred Background: Financial accounting experience, certifications or degree is a plus.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity

Compensation Range: $97,875 - 156,600. SJI is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. At this time, SJI is only considering applicants authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship. The pay range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation. The final salary is based on qualifications, education, and experience.
