Job summary

Landers Appliance in Maryland is launching a Tech Trainee Program to transition experienced technicians from skilled trades into high-earning appliance repair professionals. The program emphasizes hands-on training with experienced techs, manageable hours, and a clear path to advancement.

You’ll start at $25+ per hour, with potential to reach $70k+ as a rookie and $100k+ as a senior tech. Flexible start times and a route-based assignment model support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a technician in a technical or skilled trade field, with relevant customer service experience or in a relevant role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to learn new technology to complete daily work.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance.
• Physical ability to perform strenuous work.

Responsibilities

• Within 30 days you will learn to accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in customers' homes.
• Within 15 days you will be able to provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment for work performed.
• Within 30 days you will be able to ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain company vehicle and equipment.
• Within 30 days you will be able to complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required.
• At hire you will perform other duties as needed, including cross-training in related positions.
