Grassroots Talent Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Appliance Repair Technician to diagnose and repair home appliances, provide cost estimates, and deliver outstanding customer service. Youll share knowledge with fellow technicians and participate in ongoing training to stay current with appliance technologies.

Youll enjoy no nights or weekends, paid training, and the opportunity to earn commissions on service calls.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in a technical, electrical, or service industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Previous experience of four years or more in appliance repair is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair home appliances by troubleshooting, providing cost estimates, communicating with the customer, and collecting payments.
• Serve as a resource and technical support for the team.
• Effectively communicate with the office.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and solve problems so appliances run efficiently.
• From diagnosis to solution, help customers understand needed work so issues are resolved quickly.
• Maintain quality of work and be efficient with time to complete repairs.
• Be punctual and reliable, showing up on time for service calls.

Responsibilities:

As a Appliance Repair Technician, you are a key component in providing excellent customer service to our customers and our team of Appliance Repair Technicians.

• Diagnose and repair home appliances by troubleshooting, providing cost estimates, communicating with the customer, and collecting payments.


• Serve as a resource and technical support for the team.


• Effectively communicate with the office.


• Exceptional Customer Service: In this role, you are the face of the company. You get to show off your ability to deliver a great customer experience, showing empathy toward the customer. You are there to accurately diagnose and solve their problem so they can get back to running an efficient household.


• Getting from Diagnosis to Solution: You aren’t just there to explain what’s wrong - you also need to help the customer understand what needs to be done so that you can resolve their issues quickly.


• Quality of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve. This ensures that our customers are satisfied, and the job gets fixed correctly, the first time.


• Efficiency: In order to respond to all of our customer’s needs for the day, you’ll need to be efficient with your time and the speed at which you can complete repairs.


• Punctuality and Reliability: Our customers are anxiously waiting for your help! To deliver a great experience, you need to be available and show up on time.


• Pride in the Details: If you keep your work vehicle clean and organized, and value attention to detail in completing customer information and reports, you’ll fit right in.

Benefits & Pay:

• After an initial training period where you'll be paid hourly, our technicians earn commission on their service calls. Our technicians are seeing compensation ranging from $23.50-$55 per hour based on commission or $1,100-$2,200 per week. If you're motivated to make money we have everything you need to make that happen.
