You will work hard, but have an outstanding time doing it!Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit.* Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs.* Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff.* Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards.* Maintains departmental inventory levels.* Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks.* Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands.* Maintains effective safety and security programs.* Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.* Performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs.* Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates.* Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers.* Helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems.* Participates in the constant development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation, and contributes to the completion of written evaluations.* Assesses the efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback on a regular basis, and continuously works with employees on their areas of development.* Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action.* Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.* Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department.* Compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.* Drives bi-weekly / weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM's request and is accountable for completion.* Responsible for preparing and submitting accurate daily paperwork.* Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards.* Provides a role model for managers and employees.* Develops self on all store related technology.* Must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed when in a restaurant. This includes cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc.* Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.Education and Experience* At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience* Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications also a plusPhysical Standards:Must have the ability to :* Work various shifts ranging in hours, including weekends.* Stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours in length.* Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds in weight.* Read and write to facilitate communication.
