Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Consultant to provide hands-on Appian implementation on delivery teams and act as a trusted advisor to clients. The role focuses on scaling solutions, best practices, and integration into client architectures.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years developing Appian solutions, strong Agile delivery experience, and excellent communication. US citizenship is required; travel up to 15% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area.
• 2+ years of experience in developing Appian solutions.
• 2+ years of related IT experience.
• Active Appian Senior or Lead certification preferred.
• Strong experience with Appian delivery using an Agile methodology.
• Strong communication and ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• US Citizenship required.
• Preference for candidates local to the DC Metro area.
• Travel 0-15% may be required.

What You'll do:

Groundswell is looking for an experienced technical Appian Consultant to provide hands‑on Appian implementation on our delivery teams and act as a trusted advisor to our clients. Technical Appian Consultants help scale our business by providing expert guidance on solution delivery and designing and integrating cutting‑edge Appian solutions into our client’s architecture. Technical Appian Consultants deliver on best practices for advanced technical solutions and platform design and implement internal processes and tools to improve the efficiencies of the business.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Implement complex technical solutions with Appian and tangential technologies
• Hands‑on design, development, and test activities
• Guide clients on design, configuration management, DevSecOps, and other program initiatives as needed to drive technical success
• Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance
• Drive process improvement for our clients
• Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area
• 2+ years of experience in developing Appian solutions
• 2+ years of related IT experience
• Preference given to candidates with active Appian Senior or Lead certifications
• Strong experience with Appian delivery using an Agile methodology
• Strong technical design and implementation and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts in an easy‑to‑understand manner, both verbally and written; active listening skills to gather key information from internal and external partners; analytical and strategic foresight
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a high‑paced environment, multi‑task (prioritize and manage), and work both independently and as a team (team‑building skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a "do whatever it takes attitude")
• US Citizenship required
• Preference given to candidates local to the DC Metro area
• Some travel may be required for client meetings (0-15%)

• DevSecOps and/or Configuration Management
• Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$98,855.00 - $138,979.00
