Trustpoint.One is partnering with an East Coast based litigation boutique law firm in their search for an Appellate Litigation Paralegal. The successful candidate will handle cite checking, blue booking, and assist a busy trial and appellate team in all phases of litigation, including research, drafting, and eDiscovery.

The role is onsite in Washington, DC, requires 5+ years of experience, and demands strong writing and organizational skills to manage complex pleadings, discovery, and trial

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of complex civil litigation experience.
• Ability to perform cite checking and blue booking.
• Proficiency in eDiscovery management and Relativity.
• Onsite in Washington, DC with a busy trial/appeals team.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research.
• Perform cite checking and blue booking of pleadings and motions before filing.
• Draft pleadings and motions and file them with the court via e-filing.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Manage eDiscovery process, including Relativity/review databases.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices.
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Prepare for hearings, mediation and trial.
