Job summary

JACHS NY in New York City is seeking a full-time on-site Womens Activewear Designer to create trend-right designs for high-volume retailers, initiate tech packs, and develop fabrics, prints, and trims across wovens, knitwear, bottoms, and outerwear in the yoga/athleisure space.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in apparel design, mass-market experience, strong organization and teamwork, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Excel; a Bachelor's in fashion design is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of apparel design experience, preferably in performance/athleisure
• Translate trends into commercially successful designs for high-volume retailers
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, and ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field preferred
• Experience in textile development is a plus
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Excel

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an apparel designer located in the New York City Metropolitan area. The Womens Activewear Designer will be responsible for researching and producing innovative, trend-right designs, initiating tech packs, developing fabrics, prints and trims, and creating production-ready designs. This is an exciting opportunity to work on all product categories (wovens, cut & sew, bottoms, and outerwear) within the yoga/athleisure space.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in Apparel Design, performance/athleisure experience highly preferred


• Ability to stay up to date with the marketplace and translate trends into commercially successful designs for high volume retailers


• Excellent organizational and communication skills, and ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment


• Bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field preferred


• Experience in textile development is a plus


• Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Excel

Annual salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 per year
