Job summary

Aquent Talent is seeking an experienced Apparel Designer to join a fast-paced team on a temp-to-hire basis in New York. You will lead design from concept through execution for fleece, knits, sport, and swimwear, compiling detailed tech packs and leading fittings.

The ideal candidate has strong sketching abilities, excellent communication, and collab skills to work cross-functionally with design, tech, and sourcing. Portfolio required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or related field.
• Experience developing comprehensive tech packs.
• Strong sketching skills, hands-on and digital.

Responsibilities

• Create original concepts across fleece, knits, sport, and swimwear.
• Interpret trends to develop commercially relevant product concepts.
• Produce clear sketches communicating design direction and specs.
• Develop detailed tech packs communicating construction and design intent.
• Lead fittings independently; assess fit and communicate revisions.
• Collaborate with technical design, sourcing, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in seasonal design reviews and product development milestones.
