Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Developer to design, develop, deliver, and enhance client-server, web-based, cloud-based, and mobile software using the QuickBase platform. The role supports the YSD Truancy application and related ASD/OIS initiatives.

The candidate will mentor a team, implement secure coding standards, and collaborate with government clients and QA teams to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions across distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• 11-15 yrs. conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty.
• 11-15 yrs. preparing complex technical documentation.
• Experience in developing applications using Quickbase Application Development Platform.
• Experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., Cognos)/back-end programming languages (e.g. SQL).
• Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Service Oriented Architecture.
• Experience with any of JIRA/Bugzilla/HP ALM tools.
• Experience with Databases using ADO.NET.
• Experience developing enterprise applications that interact with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
• Candidate should strong ETL experience in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence platforms.
• Experience with Visual Studio 2010 and later versions with .Net Framework 2.0-4.6.2 with C# and VB.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies within a distributed (n-tier) architecture.
• Strong understanding of QuickBase features, functionalities, and best practices.
• Experience integrating with or utilizing Microsoft Power BI.
• Proficiency in database concepts and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Capable of design, develop and deploy applications that support users on the case and program management, especially with YSD Truancy QuickBase Application.
• Provides mentorship and technical advice to a team of Application/Reports/Query developers.
• Provides strategic advice to the lead, management, and customers of the OIS/ASD Division.
• Capable of implementing programming standards that support a secure and defective free application.
• Interact daily with government clients to meet the technical requirements for new initiatives.
• Works with Quality Assurance / Quality Control teams to ensure the application remains secure and defect free.
• Evaluates, designs, and implements accepted programming standards as they relate to the YSD QuickBase Application and infrastructure.
• Defines and documents processes to be used by all application developers on the team.
• Plans, research, and recommend new equipment, software tools, and related technologies.
• Uses monitoring and performance analysis tools to troubleshoot and isolate application performance issues.
• Updates system and process documentation, produces user guides, ER diagrams, and SOPs as needed - Including Visio Network design drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is housed under Application Software Development (ASD) Division (ASD) of the Office of Information Systems (OIS) in direct support of the YSD Truancy Application and projects for troubleshooting, upgrades, enhancements.

Client Application Software Development (ASD) Division (ASD) is looking for a Senior Application Developers whose primary responsibilities include design, development, delivery, and enhancement of Client-Server/Web-Based/Cloud-Based/Mobile Software Applications using QuickBase Application Platform.

The candidate will be responsible for the implementation and management of business aligned IT services. Ensuring the application platform is of high quality, defects free and adheres to industry standards for development, testing and deployment methodologies.

Must have experience with QuickBase Development. Hands on experience with any of the following is favorable: Java, XML, HTML, JavaScript, BPEL, PHP, WebLogic,. NET/ASP/Visual C#, SQL Server, SQL/Procedural Language.

This individual will be working closely with client ASD and its partner agencies to ensure the agencies’ priorities are met. This is a position within client OIS/ASD Division.
