Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy Internal Medicine/Primary Care practice. This full-time outpatient role treats patients 18 and older; APP experience in the outpatient setting is preferred.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a physician, develop comprehensive care plans, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Masters required in Science, Nursing or specialty field; graduate of Advanced Practitioner Program.
• Current RN and Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio; certified as Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty; PA considered.
• BLS provider certification and DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Manages the care and treatment of patients within scope and protocols.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care with the patient/family according to guidelines.

This Internal Medicine/Primary Care opportunity is full-time, treating patients 18 years and older. APP experience in the outpatient setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the care and treatment of patients as indicated in the professional scope of practice and within current standards and protocols.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care with the patient/family consistent with established guidelines
• Practices within the guidelines of a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.
• Initiates and leads performance improvement activities with a focus on achieving top quartile on clinical indicators.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or specialty field. Graduate of Advanced Practitioner Program.
• Current License as RN and Nurse Practitioner in Ohio.Certified as Advance Practice Nurse in designated specialty.
• Physician Assistant will be considered as well.
• BLS provider certification
• DEA license
• Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills
• Self-directed professional with strong organizational skills
