Job summary

IMS Care Center in Phoenix, AZ seeks a full-time APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Neurology department. You will care for adolescent to geriatric patients, conduct exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans, order tests, and manage prescriptions.

Travel to multiple IMS clinics may be required. Requirements include graduation from an accredited NP/PA program, board cert, and Arizona licensure, with at least one year of neurology experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and board-approved certifying exam.
• Must possess a license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona.
• One year of experience in Neurology is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Perform patient assessments, diagnoses and treatment plans with exams and counseling.
• Order and interpret patient care tests and treatments.
• Manage prescriptions and advise on chronic pain and general health.
• Travel to IMS clinics across locations as needed.

Essential Functions

• Provide patient services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Perform patient assessments, diagnosis & treatment plans, perform physical examinations, consultations, patient counseling/education, family planning, and well women exams
• Orders and interprets patient care tests, treatments and exams
• Handles prescription needs, provides advice regarding chronic pain problems, general health education and coordination of care
• Includes travel to our clinics in various locations, as needed

Education And Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant educational program and passage of board-approved certifying exam
• Must possess a license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona.

Experience

• One year of experience in Neurology is required.
