Job summary

OU Health is seeking an APP Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide evidence-based, family-centered care to neonates. You will perform histories and physicals, order diagnostics, develop plans of care, and document thoroughly in the EMR.

You will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team, participate in education, and help promote OU Health’s mission while maintaining professional standards and safety for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited APRN/PA program.
• Active RN and APRN license in Oklahoma (APRN) or active PA license in Oklahoma (PA).
• BLS certification required; NRP Advanced Provider within 90 days of hire.
• Prescriptive authority within 30 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct histories and physicals for neonatal patients.
• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Develop and adjust plans of care; document in EMR.

Position Title:APP Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantDepartment:Advance Practice Provider PediatricsJob Description:General Description:Job DescriptionAn Advanced Practice Provider (APP), which includes physician assistants ( P.A. -C) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) as an independent healthcare provider working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families. Works with administrative, nursing, physician, and university faculty to assure safe, effective, quality patient care and to promote OU Health’s educational and research missions.
