Job Summary
Responsible for providing direct, high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with routine to moderately complex conditions. This professional utilizes specialized knowledge in their medical or technical field to interpret data and determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The APP I work under minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment on moderately complex issues while contributing to the advancement of organizational goals.
Essential Functions
Education Requirement
Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program, Physician Assistant Program, or other specialized clinical advanced education (e.g., Midwifery, Anesthesia)
Experience Requirement
Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision and utilize independent judgment in daily practice
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part‑time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Certifications & Licensures
Current, unrestricted specialty license/certifications as applicable to the job.
Active and unrestricted as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Kentucky (Ohio, if applicable)
National Board Certification in the relevant specialty, if applicable
Certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS, if applicable.
