Job summary

NPHire seeks an Advanced Practice Professional to provide critical care coverage in the Chattanooga, TN ICU on 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You will work with MDs and fellow APPs, managing a 12-patient census and performing high-acuity procedures during the on-call period.

Requirements include Tennessee licensure and DEA, Board Certification, BLS and ACLS, and documented case logs from the last 24 months; privileges for intubation, central/arterial lines, and related procedures

Qualifications

• Tennessee license and Tennessee DEA (or transferable DEA) required.
• Board certification in relevant critical care specialty.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Documentation of case logs from past 24 months.
• Privileges for advanced procedures require demonstrated experience or director supervision for initial cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care APP coverage for PM/night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in the ICU.
• Collaborate with MDs and other APPs to manage a 12-patient ICU census.
• Perform specified procedures including intubation, central/arterial line placements, and other listed interventions.

Job Details

Provide critical care APP coverage for PM shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts). Work clinically in the ICU while MD is on call.

Manage a patient volume of 12 patients. Support staff includes MDs and APPs.

Must be able to perform special procedures including intubations, central line placements, and arterial line placements.

Must provide case logs from the past 24 months; special privileges such as intubation, arterial lines, thoracentesis, paracentesis, CVC, hemodialysis, chest tube, and thoracentesis require at least 10 cases in the past 24 months or director supervision for at least the first 10 procedures.

Must hold a Tennessee license and Tennessee DEA (or easily transferrable DEA) at time of presentation. Must be Board Certified. Must have BLS and ACLS certifications.
