Programmers.io is seeking an APIGEE X consultant to join a client project in Louisville, Kentucky. You will design, develop, and manage enterprise APIs using Apigee X, including proxies, policies, and lifecycle management.

The role emphasizes Python development, DevOps practices, and CI/CD automation with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Terraform to deliver secure, scalable API solutions across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with APIGEE X and API management.
• Strong Python development and DevOps automation experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage enterprise APIs using Apigee X, including API proxies, policies, shared flows, developer portals, and API lifecycle management.
• Develop API integrations, automation utilities, and backend services using Python, ensuring scalable, secure, and reusable solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Terraform to automate API deployments and platform operations.
• Implement API security and governance standards, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API threat protection, monitoring, and compliance controls.
