Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking an API Solutions Lead with 10+ years of experience in Apigee, Apigee X and Azure API Management. You will design, implement, and govern APIs, lead a team of API developers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable API programs.

Responsibilities include enforcing security policies, monitoring performance, and aligning API strategy with business goals. Strong leadership, communication, and cloud‑native skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years’ experience designing and implementing API solutions with Apigee, Apigee X and Azure API Management.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Experience configuring APIs in Grafana and understanding metrics/logs.
• Knowledge of GCP Developer Portal.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines.
• Proven experience as a technical lead or senior developer focusing on Apigee and Azure API Management.
• Strong understanding of API design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and .NET for API development.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Work closely with development teams to integrate APIs with existing business applications and services.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of API solutions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of APIs, from design to deprecation.
• Lead and mentor a team of API developers, promoting best practices in coding and API design.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Monitor API usage, performance, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Stay updated with trends in API management and recommend improvements to our API strategy.

• Must have knowledge on IAC using Terraform
• Must have knowledge on configuring API's in Grafana and understanding the API metrics and logs
• Must have knowledge on GCP Developer portal
• Must know the knowledge of utilizing the DevOps pipelines

• Experience with API security standards and protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to API development (e.g., JavaScript, Python, .NET).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in Apigee and Azure API Management.
• Experience with other API management tools (e.g., MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway).
• Knowledge of microservices architectures and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
