Job summary

eNGINE is seeking an API Test Engineer to design, execute, and automate testing for REST-based APIs that support mission-critical system integrations. You will focus on service-level testing to ensure APIs are reliable, secure, and production-ready.

You will write and execute test cases for positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios, and translate requirements into solid test cases across functional, negative, and integration testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of system testing experience
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs
• Solid understanding of HTTP methods and status codes
• Experience with testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, Ping API, and vREST

Responsibilities

• Write and execute test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios
• Translate requirements into test scenarios across functional, negative, and integration testing
• Validate API behavior for HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and JSON payloads
• Test for proper error handling across a range of conditions
