Job summary

Nationwide's Technology team in Columbus, OH is seeking a Technology Lead to join the Integration Governance Team. This hybrid role requires coming into the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days per week to drive secure, resilient integrations across AI, APIs, and event streams.

As a Software Engineer, you will mentor others, apply secure software practices, and partner across teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in computer science, MIS, math or related field preferred.
• Six+ years of programming, software engineering or systems analysis experience.
• Three years of project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices across delivery lifecycle to protect data and tech solutions.
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques, tools, and coding standards.
• Provide strategic technical advice on using tech to achieve business goals/strategy.
• Drive cross-collaboration across multiple teams on projects.
• Analyze solutions, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy moderately complex software.
• Champion DevSecOps practices to improve quality, security, and delivery efficiency.
• Manage multiple medium to large project priorities and deadlines.
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
