CoSourcing Partners Inc. seeks a senior API Migration Architect to lead a large modernization effort moving API capabilities from IBM API Connect/DataPower to Google Apigee.

You will guide architecture, migration planning, security, DevOps, testing, and production readiness, while directly contributing hands-on problem solving and POC development. Ideal candidates bring deep IBM API Connect/DataPower or Google Apigee expertise and a proven track record delivering enterprise API platform

Qualifications

• Experience across API architecture and API management at enterprise scale.
• Experience migrating APIs between platforms (IBM DataPower/Connect to Apigee).
• Strong knowledge of REST, OpenAPI, JSON/XML, and security patterns.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in large cloud migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for migration from IBM API Connect/DataPower to Google Apigee.
• Assess existing IBM API environments and determine migration approaches.
• Design scalable, secure Apigee architectures.
• Translate IBM API Connect/DataPower capabilities into Apigee patterns.
• Define API proxy, policy, routing, transformation, security, logging, and monitoring standards.
• Develop reference architectures and reusable migration patterns.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to API developers and platform engineers.
• Participate in proof-of-concept development and complex migrations.
• Troubleshoot issues across IBM, Google Cloud, Apigee, DevOps, networking, and security.
• Partner with cloud security to define API security standards.
• Work with DevOps to establish automated build/deploy pipelines.
• Support test teams with migration validation strategies.
• Lead technical reviews and architecture decisions.
• Identify migration risks and blockers.
• Support production readiness, deployment, cutover and stabilization.
• Provide mentoring to teams and communicate decisions clearly.
