Qualifications

  • Back-end or platform engineering with distributed systems and API design.
  • Experience deploying real-time, low-latency API platforms at scale (e.g., Apigee, Gravitee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, MuleSoft).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and Kubernetes-based deployments, including Docker, Helm, and GitOps.
  • Knowledge of API security, caching, load balancing, and protocols (HTTP, gRPC, WebSockets).
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Git and collaboration tools (Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Nexus, Bitbucket).
  • Secret clearance is required.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain Security+ Certification within 30 days of hire date.

You Have:
  • Experience in back-end or platform engineering, including distributed systems and API design, and software development using Java or Python
  • Experience designing, deploying, and operating real-time, low-latency API platforms at scale such as Apigee, Gravitee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, or MuleSoft
  • Experience with DevOps practices and technologies, including Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows
  • Experience with caching, load balancing, API security, and protocols, including HTTP, gRPC, or WebSockets
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with Git and collaboration tools, including Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Nexus, or Bitbucket
  • Experience gathering requirements and engaging with clients
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 30 days of hire date
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with SQL, Server-Side Development, Middleware, Application or Data Integration, API Development, Core Application Systems, Node.js, Groovy, Scala, Spring Cloud, Spring Core, Spring-Boot, or Spring Data
  • Experience using a message broker such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • DoD 8140 Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
