Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA, is seeking a seasoned software engineer to help framework teams design public APIs and improve the Apple developer experience across platforms.

You will guide ergonomic API design, review proposals, and evangelize Swift features while collaborating with multiple teams to evolve API Guidelines and SDK coverage.

Required: 5–10 years in Swift or Objective-C, strong architecture and communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Swift or Objective-C
• Strong understanding of software architecture and API design
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present to engineers and leadership
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies

Responsibilities

• Help design public-facing frameworks and APIs for Apple platforms
• Advise framework teams on ergonomics, consistency, and guidelines
• Evangelize new Swift features and framework-development practices
• Evaluate API coverage and identify gaps to improve SDKs and API Guidelines
• Collaborate with other Apple teams to align with organizational goals
• Contribute to Apple's software quality processes and stewardship
