Job summary

WCTC Corporate Training Center in Pewaukee, WI is seeking an Integration Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise integrations across SIS/LMS/ERP systems and data lake. The role emphasizes building scalable, secure API and SDK connections with Python, JSON, RESTful APIs, and PHP, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to modernize technology platforms.

The candidate will mentor staff, develop documentation, and ensure data integrity while adhering to FERPA and security

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in designing, developing, testing, and supporting RESTful APIs, web services, webhooks, and OAuth/OpenID Connect authentication mechanisms.
• Experience developing integrations using PHP, Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar modern development technologies.
• Knowledge of API design, data modeling, JSON/XML, and integration architecture patterns.
• Experience with API development tools like Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI, and source control with Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, and DevOps practices for integration projects.
• Familiarity with middleware, API gateways, and enterprise service architectures; cloud-hosted services experience.
• Knowledge of FERPA, higher education data governance, and related privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain API and SDK integrations between institutional systems and cloud services.
• Build scalable, secure integration solutions supporting business processes and data exchange.
• Develop and maintain integration services using Python, JSON, RESTful APIs, PHP, and related frameworks.
• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and implement standards-aligned solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues while ensuring data integrity and reliability.
• Create technical documentation: integration designs, data mappings, API specs, and procedures.
• Participate in modernization projects to improve architecture and data exchange workflows.
• Monitor performance and optimize integrations for scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Follow secure development practices and FERPA/compliance guidelines; coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Mentor IT staff on integration technologies and best practices.
