Job summary

Burrow Global, LLC is seeking an API 570 certified inspector with Level II UT and PT certifications for a long-term assignment in Port Arthur, TX. Candidates must live within driving distance to Port Arthur.

The Inspector will perform piping inspections and UT/PT tests, maintain mechanical integrity of fixed equipment, and write inspection reports while coordinating with site personnel and the client.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess valid Level II UT & PT certification.
• Must possess valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Performs internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity.
• Recommends and approves repairs as well as performs visual inspection of completed repair work.
• Assists in scheduling activities related to inspection.
• Writes inspection reports, and maintains documentation of inspection activities.
• Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
• Communicates with customers and other parties at the plant/site to protect the company’s reputation.
• Completes all required training, including tests, within company guidelines.
• Files customer and company job related forms and paperwork.

Burrow Global is seeking to hire a API 570 certified inspector with Level II UT & PT certifications for a long term assignment in Port Arthur, TX.

Candidates note: This position does not offer per-diem or relocation assistance. You must live within driving distance to Port Arthur, TX.

The API Inspector is responsible for performing piping inspection and performing UT & PT inspection tests.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
• Performs internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of fixed equipment.
• Recommends and approves repairs as well as performs visual inspection of completed repair work.
• Assists in scheduling activities related to inspection.
• Writes inspection reports, and maintains documentation of inspection activities.
• Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
• Communicate and deal with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company. This communication is in person at the plant / job site.
• Complete All Required Training, Including Tests, Within Company Guidelines.
• Perform necessary filing of customer and company job related forms and paperwork.

Job Qualifications

• Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
