The API 510/653 Inspector conducts visual examinations independently and evaluates materials, welds, and components for conformity with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. This role involves interpreting procedures, recording detailed results, and reporting findings. Level II inspectors are expected to identify discontinuities, determine acceptability within defined criteria, and assist in training Level I personnel. They demonstrate a solid understanding of inspection techniques, documentation practices, and quality assurance requirements.
