Primary Responsibilities:

The APC Collaborative Teaching Pod is a unique and innovative opportunity for learning Value Based Primary Care. The four providers to join the Pod will work together to co-manage a panel of patients, supported by their supervising physician and a different preceptor for each session. Each month they will have a didactics session and opportunities to learn from their colleagues in medical specialties. The Teaching Pod will last for one year, with the potential for job placement within the organization after successful completion of the program.

Position Highlights:

• Comprehensive 1-year transition-to-practice program designed to accelerate your success in primary care.
• Train in a collaborative Internal Medicine practice alongside experienced physicians and APCs.
• Receive dedicated mentorship and support from preceptors focused on your professional growth.
• Small cohort models provide individualized training and close-knit peer support.
• Structured onboarding, shadowing, and clinical ramp-up designed to build confidence from day one.
• Weekly one-on-one in-basket training to strengthen efficiency and patient management skills.
• Extensive specialty rotations include Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Urology, and more.
• Monthly didactic sessions led by specialists, primary care leaders, clinical pharmacists, and patient experience experts.
• Hands-on procedural training including suture, skin biopsies, orthopedic injections, Nexplanon, IUD placement, and incision & drainage.
• Integrated behavioral health exposure through collaborative patient care visits.
• Daily chart rounds that promote clinical reasoning, case discussion, and team-based learning.
• Opportunity to build expertise in value-based care and population health management.

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Unlimited Licensure in the state of Massachusetts
• Active DEA License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working within a Team Care model
• Fluency in EMR systems & technology

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $109,500 - $164,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
