Job summary

GMC Properties is seeking a motivated individual to maintain property grounds and assist with maintenance tasks. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Basic maintenance knowledge is a plus and a high school diploma is required.

The candidate will inspect grounds, perform cleaning, coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, and support in moving and securing items on the property. Immediate start is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Must understand lawn equipment, repair, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Keeps property grounds clean and debris-free; ensures external fixtures are working.
• Inspects property and reports safety hazards to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Sweeps parking lots, walkways, and entryways; cleans courtyards and cement areas.
• Operates leaf blower or vacuum to remove debris.
• Ensures external light fixtures are functioning and cleans lamps.
• Moves and cleans trash dumpsters and surrounding areas.
• Assists in removing furniture, appliances, and debris from vacated apartments.
• Moves appliances, heat pumps, planters, and supplies as needed.
• Wipes down mailboxes, handrails, and signs.
• Unloads deliveries and stocks supplies.
• Cleans pool area, chairs, tables, and umbrellas.
• Cleans/sweeps rooftops and gutters.
• Coordinates with Maintenance Supervisor to manage supplies inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities(may include, but are not limited to):

• Ensures property grounds are clean and free of debris and that all, external fixtures are clean and in working order.
• Inspect the property; pick up trash and debris, and reports any safety hazards or repair needs to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Sweep parking lot areas, walkways, entryways, and hallways. Wash down courtyards and other cement areas. May have to sweep and pick-up sand and gravel with shovel and wheelbarrow.
• Operate leaf blower or parking lot vacuum to ensure that the property is free of debris.
• Ensure external light fixtures are in working order. Cleans lights and globes in common areas.
• Move/clean trash dumpsters and surrounding areas.
• Empty trashcans around the common grounds of the property.
• Assist with the removal of furniture, appliances, and debris from vacated apartments to dumpster or storage.
• Assist in moving appliances, heat pumps, planters, garbage cans, and supplies as needed.
• Wipe down mailboxes, handrails, and signs.
• Unload truck when supplies are delivered, and stock in proper areas.
• Clean pool area to include chairs, tables, and umbrellas.
• Clean/sweep tennis courts if applicable.
• Lock/unlock common areas as directed.
• Clean/sweep rooftops and clean out gutters.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to maintain an inventory of supplies required to perform the job.
