Fairstead is hiring a Maintenance Technician to maintain day-to-day operations and safeguard the property’s physical assets. You will inspect and repair buildings and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include on-call emergency response, inventory management, and upholding maintenance policies. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and quality in resident-focused housing operations.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical and electrical repair abilities.
• Experience in building maintenance or similar role preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and equipment for repairs and improvements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Enforce maintenance policies to prevent misuse of property appliances.
• Ensure properties are safe for occupants, visitors, and workers.
• Prepare vacated units for new occupants.
• Check wiring for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Test safety systems monthly and address issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.
