Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of general maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work weekends or be on-call.

You'll perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs in apartments, carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and move‑in/move‑out inspections, while keeping the shop organized and inventory stocked.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Applicants must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and the ability to be on-call.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
