Job summary

Gulf Coast JFCS in Tampa Bay area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for Myrtle Oaks and Egret Apartments. You will handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and unit turnover under the Director of Housing supervision.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, reliable transportation, and the ability to handle varied tasks across facilities. The position offers hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and maintenance certification; three years' experience as a maintenance technician overseeing residential facilities
• Experience in general repair and maintenance work
• Ability to coordinate sporadic activity and meet deadlines
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize work orders; document progress and completion
• Perform general upkeep of building interiors and exterior grounds
• Support turnover of vacant units with contractors and vendors
• Evaluate HVAC equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
• Order and maintain replacement parts; service refrigerators and stoves
• Inspect electrical outlets and manage inventory
• Assist on emergency calls and supervise work by outside vendors
• Travel between Heron (Tampa) and Egret (New Port Richey) as directed
