Job summary

Fairstead ESC LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold daily property operations and maintain assets. You will inspect and repair buildings and equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety systems function properly.

The role includes on-call duties and inventory management to support continuous operations. Qualifications emphasize mechanical and electrical skills, general maintenance ability, effective communication, and prior service technician experience.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills to handle minor repairs and fixtures.
• Knowledge of electricity to diagnose electrical problems and carry out minor repairs.
• General maintenance skills essential for property upkeep.
• Strong verbal and written communication for clear updates.
• Prior experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
• HVAC certification preferred (or equivalent CM RP).

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and equipment regularly for repairs or improvements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the property.
• Enforce maintenance policies to prevent misuse of property appliances.
• Ensure properties are safe for occupants, visitors, and workers.
• Clean and prepare vacated units for new occupants.
• Check electrical wiring for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect safety systems monthly and ensure operational effectiveness.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.

Fairstead is hiring a Maintenance Technician to maintain the day-to-day operations and assume responsibility for maintaining the property's physical assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect buildings and equipment regularly for needed repairs and improvements.
• Perform necessary preventative maintenance and repairs on the property as needed.
• Implement maintenance policies and standards to prevent misuse of property appliances.
• Ensure that properties are safe and avoid any danger to their occupants, visitors, and workers.
• Clean and prepare vacated buildings and rooms for new occupants to move in.
• Check electrical wiring for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Check safety systems and devices for operational effectiveness monthly.
• Participate in the on-call rotation. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance problems that may require attention outside of normal working hours.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mechanical skills to handle minor repairs and fixtures.
• Knowledge of electricity to diagnose electrical problems and carry out minor repairs.
• General maintenance skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills for effective delivery of information.
• Prior experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role.
• HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift to 70 pounds without assistance.
• Dexterity and attention to detail.

Salary Range

$22 - $23.50 USD
