Job summary

Hayman Company is hiring a Maintenance Technician for two adjacent communities in Grand Rapids, MI (601 Bond & Icon on Bond Apartments). The role involves repairing and maintaining apartment homes, responding to service requests, and preparing units for rental turnover.

We offer up to $24/hour with full-time benefits and on-site work. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience, owns basic tools, and can pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• 2 years of apartment maintenance experience
• Own tools and valid driver’s license
• EPA certification preferred
• Ability to pass criminal background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Prioritizing and completing work orders promptly
• Keep the community clean and well maintained
• Respond to residential service requests professionally
• Prepare apartment homes for rent
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Manage inventory of materials and supplies

Job description

We are looking to hire the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as a Maintenance Technician at our two side by side communities in Grand Rapids, 601 Bond & Icon on Bond Apartments. We offer up to $24/hr.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizing and completing work and repair orders in a timely fashion
• Keeping the community clean and well maintained
• Utilize your troubleshooting skills to respond to a wide variety of residential service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare apartment homes for rent
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Maintain material and supply inventory
• Oversee work performed by outside contractors
• Ensure that any unresolved maintenance issues or concerns are reported to the Management
• Ability to work on-call hours

Requirements

• Previous experience in a technician position in apartment industry
• Possession of tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks
• Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships
• Demonstrate thoroughness, accuracy, and organization when accomplishing tasks
• Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screening
• Must have your own general tools
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to use electronic communication professionally and efficiently
• Must be a team player
• EPA Certification preferred

Must have a valid driver's license.
