InterSolutions is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician in Fort Lauderdale, FL to service and prep units, perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs, and maintain common areas. You’ll handle turnovers, repair appliances, and ensure resident satisfaction, under supervision.

We welcome dependable candidates with multi-trade skills, the ability to lift 40 lbs, and weekend availability. HVAC certification is a plus; opportunities for permanent placement and referral bonuses are offered.

Responsibilities

• Complete service tickets and work orders efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents during turnover.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and debris-free.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Repair lighting, switches, breakers, and install fixtures.
• Fix toilets, sinks, vanities, disposals, and caulking.
• Handle minor carpentry like doors and window screens.
• Paint and drywall repairs as needed.
• Remove bulk trash and service skips.

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for handling service requests and maintaining the community s overall functionality under the direction of the maintenance supervisor or property manager.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Complete service tickets and work orders efficiently and accurately
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by managing the turnover process
• Keep grounds and common areas clean and free of debris
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents
• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry repairs, including:
• Repairing electrical circuits, switches, and breakers
• Servicing and installing light fixtures and appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers)
• Fixing and replacing toilets, sinks, vanities, disposals, and caulking
• Handling minor carpentry repairs, including doors, window screens, and blinds
• Painting and drywall repair as needed
• Removing bulk trash, including discarded appliances
• Clearing drains and sewer lines (up to 4')

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of maintenance repair and service across multiple areas
• Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred HVAC Certification is a plus
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and safely using ladders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work weekends as required
