Job summary

Laramar is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and monitor facilities across properties. You will respond to service requests, perform appliance, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing work, and collaborate with supervisors to meet deadlines and safety standards.

The role emphasizes customer service, reliability, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with on-site responsibilities and a commitment to maintaining property standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Maintenance Technician experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs consistently.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance.
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to travel to additional safety or instructional courses off the premises.
• Remain on call after hours if necessary.
• Ability to work any day of the week, 52 weeks a year, overtime if necessary.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Always demonstrate quality customer service.

• Work with Maintenance Supervisor and team to complete all service requests in 24 hours, including grounds and landscaping duties.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA standards as well as the Company's safety and hazard communications programs and procedures.
• Work with Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to ensure a clean workstation, follow budget guidelines, maintain preventative maintenance, and complete all assigned tasks to company standards.
• Work with the service team to ensure the premises is presentable and safe for operations, including curb appeal.
• Snow/ice removal for safety of residents.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic to help keep the atmosphere friendly and productive.

The Apartment Maintenance Technician position performs routine maintenance and monitors the facilities by performing the following duties.

• Respond to problems and find solutions to any repairs needed on the premises including installation of appliances, HVAC, electrical, and others in a timely manner
• Work with Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team to complete all service requests in 24 hours, including grounds and landscaping duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
• 1year Maintenance Technician experience is preferred
• Able to lift over 50 lbs. consistently throughout an 8-12 hour workday
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, small vehicle, and structural maintenance including, but not limited to, drainage pipes, gutters, sidewalk repair, fountain repair, fundamental to advanced plumbing, basic to advanced electrical, and wallpapers and painting
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics without assistance
• Ability to travel to additional safety or instructional courses off the premises.
• Remain on call after hours if necessary.
• Ability to work any day of the week, 52 weeks a year, overtime if necessary.
• Reliable transportation is required
