Job summary

JES Holdings is seeking dynamic professionals for full-time residential maintenance support in a multifamily setting. You will assist with unit turns, maintain curb appeal, and handle resident work orders with punctual, proactive service.

On-call after hours and light travel for training are part of the role. Ideal candidates will have 0–2 years of basic maintenance experience and a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Entry level, 0 to 2 years of basic maintenance experience in residential, multifamily, commercial, hotel maintenance, or related experience.
• Must be willing to train and learn company systems, HVAC and safety training, HUD/LIHTC standards per requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional curb appeal and complete/assist with daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours and travel to trainings as needed.
• Perform unit turns including painting, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors with a valid insured vehicle.
• Report health and safety concerns to the manager and maintain positive relations with residents and vendors.
• Work overtime as needed and engage in training programs.

This role focuses on basic residential maintenance support, assistance with unit turns, and curb appeal.

• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete and assist with daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit turns in a timely manner including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
• Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
• Reports to Property Manager, Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
• Travel to and participate in both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
• Make the manager aware of any health and safety concerns on site.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed and approved
• Must be eager to train and learn company systems, engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, and be engaged in HUD and LIHTC maintenance standard training, State inspection / INSPIRE.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

Having basic experience in carpentry, drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, building operating systems for door entry or fire suppression, etc., or general building maintenance

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to preform all physical requirements of position including but not limited to being able to lift a minimum of 55lbs, work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
