Job summary

Riverview Place in Fargo, ND is seeking a Maintenance Technician at the Maintenance Technician I or III level, based on experience and skills. You’ll help maintain apartments, common areas, and building systems to create a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting HVAC/plumbing/electrical systems, and performing repairs as needed. On-site work, on-call rotations, and a focus on safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance Technician I: 1-2 years of apartment, facility, or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintenance Technician III: 2-3 years of building maintenance experience with demonstrated troubleshooting and repairs.
• General knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and grounds maintenance preferred.
• Ability to participate in snow and ice removal and an on-call rotation as needed.
• Criminal background check and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs of apartments, common areas, building systems, and grounds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, doors, windows, and screens.
• Maintain building exteriors and assist with painting, snow, and ice removal.
• Respond to maintenance requests and participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
• Communicate professionally with residents, staff, and management.
• Follow all safety policies and CHI Living Communities' mission and values.
