Job summary

Redwood Living is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for on-site facilities, units, and grounds in Merrillville, IN. You will perform routine maintenance, handle on-call emergencies, and assist with resident communications to promote a positive experience.

Requirements include 1 year of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. HVAC certification and prior apartment maintenance experience are preferred, along with the ability to use power

Qualifications

• 1 year of general maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• HVAC Certification preferred
• Apartment maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to operate smartphone, tablet and computer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, buildings, and grounds as assigned through work orders
• Prepare vacated apartment homes for release quickly and professionally
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall tasks
• Minor plumbing system repairs (drains, toilets, water heaters)
• Service kitchen appliances, washers, dryers, and garage issues when necessary
• Emergency maintenance as part of on-call schedule
• Follow safety standards at all times
• All other related duties as assigned
