Job summary

General Services Corporation (GSC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair appliances and perform general property maintenance across multiple North Carolina communities, including Chapel Hill and Carrboro. You will complete work orders, follow safety protocols, and maintain environmental and OSHA compliance.

The role requires a High School Diploma, at least one year of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to use hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• At least one year of maintenance repair experience.
• EPA 608 Certification is preferred but not required.
• Must consent to work with regulated chemicals and/or materials.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Appliance repair/installation as listed (dishwashers, disposals, stoves, refrigerators).
• Complete work orders using Servus Connect ticket system.
• Electrical - replace switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Plumbing - sweat copper, install faucets, traps, toilets, and appliances.
• Glazing, caulking, minor carpentry, and screening.
• Maintain curb appeal with tools such as power blower and pressure washer.
• Complete turns, evictions, and major furniture moves.
• Perform exterior/interior maintenance projects as assigned.
