Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Service Manager to supervise the repair and maintenance of property buildings in Houston. You will ensure the timely installation of mechanical equipment and upkeep of Fairstead’s properties to maintain operational effectiveness.

You will lead maintenance staff, oversee special projects, and enforce safety standards while applying trade skills. Knowledge of Yardi/RealPage is a plus, with strong organizational and policy-implementation abilities.

Qualifications

• Three years of property maintenance experience.
• Proficient in a trade with broad maintenance/repair skills.
• Knowledge of building and mechanical trades tools, techniques and terminology.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Experience with various tools and equipment to complete tasks.
• Excellent organization and project management skills.
• Ability to implement and improve policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Yardi and RealPage knowledge is a plus.

The Service Manager manages and supervises the repair and maintenance of property buildings. They ensure the timely installation of mechanical equipment and upkeep of Fairstead’s property to ensure operational effectiveness. The Service Manager oversees operational efficiency of all electrical equipment and mechanical systems through inspection and repair and ensure that property’s premises and facilities are kept clean and hygienic in alignment with Fairstead safety policies and standards.

• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.

• Occasional need to work overtime for special projects or emergencies.
