Job summary

Levy Restaurants in Chicago is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Assistant to support timely processing of PO data and vendor invoices. You will work under the Accounts Payable Manager with a dotted line to Purchasing, ensuring accuracy and timely payments in a busy foodservice operation at the United Center.

The role requires 4+ years AP experience, strong data entry and Excel skills, and keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Expert level data entry skills (speed and accuracy).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate input of purchase orders in inventory system.
• Timely and accurate input of vendor invoices to be paid.
• Reconciling Purchase Orders to final invoices for accuracy.
• Reconciling vendor statements to ensure past due invoices are paid.
• Fielding emails/calls from vendors and resolving past due invoices.
• Interacting with Levy Home Office to resolve payables needs.
• Assisting with accruals and month-end duties.
• General administrative assistance for Purchasing/Warehouse.

Levy Restaurants provides world class food and retail operations at the United Center, home to the Chicago Blackhawks and Bulls. We are currently looking for a talented individual to fill the hourly full-time position of Accounts Payable Assistant.

The Accounts Payable Assistant will report directly to our Accounts Payable Manager with a dotted line to our Purchasing Director. Responsibilities will include:

• Timely and accurate input of purchase orders in inventory system
• Timely and accurate input of vendor invoices to be paid
• Reconciling Purchase Orders to final invoices to ensure accuracy
• Reconciling vendor statements to ensure past due invoices are paid
• Fielding emails/calls from vendors and resolving past due invoices
• Interacting with the Levy Home Office to ensure resolution on any payables needs
• Assisting with accrual compilation and other month end duties
• General administrative assistance for Purchasing/Warehouse Dept

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• At least 4 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Expert level data entry skills (both speed and accuracy)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills and ability to navigate complex accounting and purchasing systems
• Proficiency in Excel
