Formación

• Should have in-depth knowledge of AP Macroeconomics and/or AP Microeconomics.
• Prior tutoring/teaching experience with high school students preferred.
• Familiarity with College Board AP Economics curriculum and exam expectations.
• Excellent communication and ability to simplify complex concepts.

Thrive Tutoring is seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and experienced AP Economics Tutor to provide individualized academic support to a high school student in Hendersonville, TN.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in economics, experience working with high school students, and familiarity with the AP curriculum. We are looking for an educator who can break down complex economic concepts, build student confidence, and support academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring in AP Macroeconomics and/or AP Microeconomics.
• Support understanding of key economic principles, graphs, models, and real-world applications.
• Assist with coursework, exam preparation, and AP-style practice questions.
• Identify areas of difficulty and adapt instruction to meet the student's learning needs.
• Help students develop effective study strategies and independent problem-solving skills.
• Communicate progress and areas for growth with the family and Thrive team.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of AP Macroeconomics and/or AP Microeconomics.
• Previous experience tutoring or teaching high school economics preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with College Board AP Economics curriculum and exam expectations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to make challenging concepts approachable.
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about helping students succeed.
