A PLUS 1 ACADEMY CORPORATION is seeking an experienced AP Biology Instructor to join our team in Irvine, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Biology and experience teaching or tutoring AP Biology. Responsibilities include preparing students for the AP exam, teaching small-group or 1-on-1 classes, and explaining key biological concepts. Applicants should be responsible, patient, and good at working with high school students. A flexible schedule and training opportunities are provided.
Qualifications
Prior AP Biology teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
Familiarity with AP Biology exam format and College Board expectations.
Experience with Biology Olympiad or other biology competitions is a plus.
Responsibilities
Teach AP Biology small-group or 1-on-1 classes.
Prepare students for the AP Biology exam, including MCQ and FRQ practice.
Explain key biology concepts clearly, such as cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and physiology.
Help students improve scientific reasoning, graph/data interpretation, and experimental design skills.
