Job summary
A PLUS 1 ACADEMY CORPORATION is seeking an experienced AP Biology Instructor to join our team in Irvine, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Biology and experience teaching or tutoring AP Biology. Responsibilities include preparing students for the AP exam, teaching small-group or 1-on-1 classes, and explaining key biological concepts. Applicants should be responsible, patient, and good at working with high school students. A flexible schedule and training opportunities are provided.
Qualifications
- Prior AP Biology teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
- Familiarity with AP Biology exam format and College Board expectations.
- Experience with Biology Olympiad or other biology competitions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach AP Biology small-group or 1-on-1 classes.
- Prepare students for the AP Biology exam, including MCQ and FRQ practice.
- Explain key biology concepts clearly, such as cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and physiology.
- Help students improve scientific reasoning, graph/data interpretation, and experimental design skills.
