Job summary

Rocket EMS, Inc. seeks an AOI/AXI Operator to verify PCB assemblies meet IPC standards. You will program, operate, and maintain AOI/AXI systems, perform first article inspections, and document inspection results in daily pass-downs.

The role requires at least 2 years in electronics inspection, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification, and strong attention to detail. English communication is essential for reporting and collaboration; it is a full-time, on-site position with 8-hour shifts and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in electronics inspection, AOI, or AXI operations.
• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification required.
• Strong understanding of IPC workmanship standards (Class 2 and 3).
• Able to interpret inspection images, read blueprints and BOMs.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Review job documentation before inspection.
• Operate AOI/AXI equipment for PCB inspections.
• Perform First Article Inspections and verify IPC compliance.
• Analyze inspection data and classify defects.
• Verify solder joints, component alignment, and hidden connections.
• Stop production for major defects or systemic issues.
• Document results and generate daily pass-downs.
