Cheshire Public Schools in Connecticut is seeking an Anticipated opening TEACHER: Elementary for the 2026/2027 school year. The ideal candidate will integrate academic and social needs of elementary students, personalize standards, and employ innovative instructional strategies to promote growth.
The role requires a Connecticut Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements, strong classroom management, and a capacity to use technology as a daily teaching tool within a collaborative district.

Individual must be innovative, creative and be skilled in the use of effective instructional strategies to demonstrate growth of all students. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of national, state and local standards and have the ability to personalize these standards through instruction to all students in all subject areas. A positive, enthusiastic, dynamic classroom atmosphere is desired embedding the Cheshire Performance Standards. Skilled integration of technology as a tool for teaching and learning is required.
Connecticut Teaching Certificate #001, #002, #004, #005, #013, #305 or the ability to qualify, with appropriate endorsement(s), and expertise in curriculum sub-areas.
In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Education Association of Cheshire.
Children of a teacher who does not reside in Cheshire may attend the Cheshire Public Schools so long as the teacher continues to teach in Cheshire and pays 50% of the published regular education tuition cost, plus any additional costs incurred by the district regarding their child.
