JOB SUMMARY: The Head Custodian is responsible for the overall maintenance, cleanliness, appearance, and safe operation of Otter Valley UMHS. This leadership role is ideal for someone who takes exceptional pride in their work and is committed to making Otter Valley UMHS the flagship school of the district—setting the standard for excellence in facility and grounds care. The successful candidate will foster a culture of ownership, professionalism, and attention to detail, ensuring that every area of the campus reflects pride, respect, and high standards. The Head Custodian is responsible for maintaining the school's facilities and grounds in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency, creating an environment that students, staff, and the community are proud to experience. The Head Custodian also provides leadership and supervision to the custodial team, including seasonal custodial employees, ensuring that work is completed effectively and consistently. Safety, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and the continued efficient operation of the facility will remain top priorities at all times, with a focus on continuous improvement and presenting Otter Valley UMHS as a model campus.
A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred, with demonstrable leadership skills and experience in a supervisory capacity. Must be willing to work irregular hours and be able to respond to emergencies
Navigate and understand the school’s e-mail system to send and receive information and/or work requests and work with Google Drive applications, Safeschools, Frontline and school based digital systems.

Salary: $25 to $32 Per Hour
