The Bald Eagle Area School District, located within a short drive of the campuses of Penn State University and Lock Haven University, offers a robust educational program for students in a community-focused setting. We are in search of a motivated applicant to join the BEA family for the following position:

Anticipated Elementary Special Education Teacher

The Elementary Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. This educator develops and implements individualized education programs (IEPs), adapts curriculum and teaching strategies to meet each student's unique abilities, and collaborates with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote academic, social, and emotional growth. The teacher ensures compliance with federal and state special education regulations while fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages all students to reach their full potential.

Interested applicants are required to have a valid PA teaching certificate in: Special Education.

Current Staff and Outside Applicants Must Submit:
  • Resume AND Cover Letter (scan into one document or save as a PDF as one document)
  • Teaching Certificate AND College Transcripts (scan into one document or save as a PDF as one document)
  • Act 126 (Mandated Reporter)
  • -Current Clearances Required (within one year) current staff your clearances are on file so this portion doesn't pertain to you
  • Act 34 (PA Criminal History)
  • Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint)
  • Act 151 (PA Child Abuse)

Clearances must be attached to your online application to be considered for an interview. Clearances MUST be for employment. Volunteer clearances will NOT be accepted.

The hired candidate will be required the following upon hire:
  • Act 168 paperwork
  • Current Physical (will accept if completed within 6 month of hire start date)
  • Current TB test (will accept if completed within 6 month of hire start date)
