URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. seeks an Anthropologie Weddings Assistant Department Manager at the Buffalo location to supervise store operations and drive a high-energy, guest-focused environment. You will own floor supervision, guide sales initiatives, and balance service with tasking.

You will lead through brand standards, partner with teams on customer experience, and ensure omni-channel engagement. The role requires leadership experience and flexibility across nights/weekends/holidays.

• 1+ years store leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads the team as a brand representative reflecting company values; partners with the team on an engaging service environment.
• Empowers the team to drive sales through personalized service, styling, and outfitting recommendations; creates selling initiatives that enhance the customer experience and conversion.
• Delivers a seamless omni-channel shopping experience through understanding and use of systems for efficient customer engagement.
• Acts as an elevated team member, prioritizing service over tasks and managing the store environment and customer experience.
• Provides timely feedback to foster action and accountability; supports new hire development to protect the employee experience.
• Maintains daily operating standards by assessing sales forecasting, payroll, and product flow; ensures timely markdown, transfer, and restock processes.
• Helps implement visual direction and maintains a clean shop to protect the customer experience and store profitability.
• Leads with an inclusive, people-first philosophy; communicates openly and participates in daily meetings and brand initiatives.

Role Summary

The Anthropologie Weddings Assistant Department Manager collaborates with the management team in supervision of store operations. This includes leading a store environment that is engaging and inspiring through ownership of floor supervision, driving sales, and protecting a balance between service and tasking.

Role Responsibilities

Customer Experience

• Leads the team as a brand representative reflective of company values; partners with the team on the creation of an engaging service environment
• Empowers the team to drive sales through personalized service, elevated styling, and outfitting recommendations; creates inspiring selling initiatives that enhance the customer experience and increase conversion
• Delivers a seamless, omni-channel shopping experience through understanding and utilization of systems and applications for an efficient customer engagement

Leadership + Team Management

• Acts as an elevated team member, exercising decision-making and multitasking capabilities while always prioritizing service over tasks
• Actively participates in managing the store environment and customer experience by facilitating an energized pace, positivity of the team, management of the daily zone, and driving sales
• Provides timely and specific employee feedback to create a culture of action and accountability; prioritizes new hire development to protect the employee experience

Visual +Business Operations

• Sustains daily operating standards by taking an active role in assessing sales forecasting, managing payroll to facilitate an effective daily zone chart, and the execution of product flow
• Collaborates with key partners to effectively execute shipment processing; supports and ensures markdown, transfer, and restock processes are executed timely and accurately
• Helps implement visual direction and decisions made by the Shop Manager, Visual Merchandising Manager, and Store Manager; maintains a clean shop to ensure the customer experience is protected
• Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store

Communication + Relationships

• Leads with an inclusive and people-first philosophy; engages employees at all levels to encourage open dialogue, reinforce follow through, and ensure that the store team is heard and supported
• Stays current and responds to communication; contributes to sharing information with the team and actively participates in daily meetings, store initiatives, and brand focuses
• Takes initiative in teaching and sharing product knowledge, brand messaging, and how to deliver exceptional customer interactions by utilizing brand product and training resources
• Checks in with stylists and associates to maintain communication and teamwork on completing store objectives; is open and responsive to feedback

• 1+ years store leadership experience
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range

USD $21.29 - USD $23.50 /Hr.
